Battle Scar

Our friend Kristen who watches Hannah while I'm at school recently got an extremely large "puppy" German shepherd. When I brought Hannah over there yesterday I could tell Hannah was going to have to learn how to defend herself. This dog could knock me over much less my 3 foot daughter. Anyway, Hannah adores dogs so I knew she would have no problem. However, Hannah came home with this.



Kristen said the girls were in a room playing with the dog and when she walked in she found this on Hannah's face and freaked. Hannah had no idea what was going on. Thankfully, she had no hard feelings after the event happened and even though the dog was now outside Hannah still wanted to play with it. The scary thing is, the scratch is really close to her eye and goes all the way to her ear. Thank God for watching over her.

    Awww poor baby! It was probably just in good fun, especially since Hannah doesn't seem bothered. Puppies can be rough without realizing it (we have a German Shepherd mix) but the kids don't seem to hold grudges (they seem pretty tough, Shiph doesn't usually care when the cat scratches her).

    Bless her heart! I keep Aubrey away from our hyper boxer for this very reason -- she is fearless!
